Smoothies are all the rage right now and I can understand why! They are nutritious powerhouses, if you make them the right way! It took me a while to concoct my favorite smoothie recipe. I went through the "little red riding hood" stages! Too thick, too thin, too powdery, etc. After knowing the right ratios for my smoothie and finding the perfect ingredients I have grown addicted to my raw primal energy smoothie and I want to share it with all of you so you can start your day off right!
- A dash of monk fruit (optional; for those that like it a little sweeter!)
* If you are 100% Paleo you can add 4 oz. of filtered water instead of raw cream.
This smoothie has the perfect consistency, makes me feel energized, and holds me over for a while because of all the healthy fats and good quality protein! My raw primal energy smoothie is packed with nutrients and is great for the joints, hair, skin, nails, boosting the immune system, detoxing, muscle recovery, clean energy, and more! I also like to make it into a smoothie bowl and let it sit in the fridge to thicken up for after my morning workout. If you want to make a smoothie bowl out of this recipe heres what to do...
1.) Only blend 1/2 of your banana and save the other half to slice over top of your smoothie bowl.
2.) Do not add any water or cream. The only liquid should be from your raw eggs. This will help create your thick "mousse" like consistancy!
3.) Do not add the bee pollen in the blender. You can add it to your smoothie bowl after for a little crunch! You can also add things like flax seeds, shredded coconut, chia, ect... for a thicker and crunchier bowl of goodness!!!
4.) Let it sit in the fridge for 10-20 minutes. Enjoy!!
